All of FEV’s live, 1-to-1 virtual tutoring takes place on our proprietary web-based virtual whiteboard (FEV’s Virtual Classroom). Tutoring sessions, scheduling features, and reporting (student, teacher, and administer level) can be accessed from www.fevtutor.com. Students do not need to download any additional software in order to meet with their live professional tutors.

Outlined below are the minimum technical requirements for hardware, operating systems, and web browsers necessary to support FEV’s Virtual Classroom to allow students and tutors to collaborate.

Use your camera and microphone in Chrome

You can use your camera and microphone for sites in Chrome, like Google Hangouts or Skype. Sometimes, you need to give sites permission first.

1. Open Chrome.
2. Navigate to a site that wants to use your microphone and camera.
3. In the drop-down that appears, you have a few options:
   • Allow: This allows the site to use your camera and microphone. You'll see a notice to confirm this. 
   • Block: This prevents the site from using your camera and microphone. Note: Some sites won't work if you choose this option. For example, you might not be able to join a video conference.
      

Change camera and microphone permissions

You can change which sites can use your camera and microphone:

1. Open Chrome.
2. At the top-right, click More Settings.
3. Click Show advanced settings.
4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings.
5. In the "Media" section, click one of the options:
   • Ask when a site requires access to your camera and microphone: Chrome alerts you whenever a site asks to use to your camera and microphone.
   • Do not allow sites to access your camera and microphone: Automatically deny any site requests to use your camera and microphone.
6. To remove permissions that you've already granted to sites, click Manage exceptions.
